Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) @ North Conway Fire/EMS

An EMT certification is the entry-level for licensed Emergency Medical Services provider and the first step toward a career in EMS. This course stresses a greater depth of knowledge about the anatomy and physiology of the body and how sickness and injury affect people. Most importantly the increased care and treatments available to stabilize people in emergent situations. The format of this course stresses the application of skill through scenarios, minimizing time spent in lecture. It prepares the EMT to offer a higher level of emergency care at the scene and to work as a full team member on the ambulance.

This NH state-approved course is taught under the new National Education Standards for EMS. Includes simulation lab experience.
